The Box Hill Community Arts Centre is an artistic and cultural hub within the City of Whitehorse.
In 2011, Box Hill Community Arts Centre (BHCAC) is celebrating 21 years as an active and growing hub for arts and cultural community groups.
To coincide with the 21st Birthday celebrations, Box Hill Community Arts Centre is holding its 4th Biennial Art Competition.
The major prize is a $3,000 cash award and the opportunity for the winning artist to mount a free solo exhibition at a later date in the BHCAC gallery.
In the past the City of Whitehorse has acquired selected pieces from the field of finalists for its large art collection.
The theme chosen for the 2011 BHCAC Biennial Art Competition is ‘transformation’ in recognition of the enormous growth of the
Centre’s activities and community involvement over the past 21 years.
Entries for this competition have now closed.
