 Community Choir

The Box Hill Community Arts Centre Community Choir began in 2009, and has offered a singing opportunity to over 100 people within the community. The choir, currently with 50 members, meets each Sunday afternoon for simple, rhythmic, melodious tunes (and a cup of tea!). No singing experience is required. Experienced choir leader Belinda Glass really knows how to bring out the best of your singing voice.On August 29th, the choir will be lead by a guest choir master, Richard Lawton. Tea and coffee provided.

This adult class provides the perfect way to have fun and get fit at the same time. If you enjoy dancing but don't want a formal dance class or if the gym is not for you, then come and join us on Monday afternoons in our beautiful Arbour Hall. When painting we learn about colour mixing and different ways of applying the paint. Adele's classes focus on tapping into the imagination to create wonderful mini masterpieces!

A fun cooking class for young children, this cooking course will involve lots of stirring, measuring, dividing, cooking and most importantly, tasting! Some recipes will be set for the course, but children may also have the opportunity to choose some favourites for the final week of the course.

In this course you will learn to use mixed media and acrylic paint to create contemporary paintings and abstract artworks. Students will explore not only painting, drawing and collage materials and techniques, but also concepts and ideas relating to contemporary painting. This class will be taught by Kathy and is suitable for those students continuing from Contemporary Painting in Term 2 (with Gary) or new students. All materials are included in the cost of this workshop.
