During the month of March 2010 the "Hand Tool Preservation Association of Australia Inc" has a display of 60 hand tools from 60 Australian Manufacturers at the City of Whitehorse Library in Nunawading.
Members of the public interested in hand tools and their preservation re invited to attend the Associations next meeting at the Box Hill Community Arts Centre March 16 at 7.30pm on the subject of Surveying Tools.

In this course over two Sundays (14th and 21st of March) you will learn to use different sumi ink tones and brush techniques to create trasditional Japanese paintings and calligraphy, or washi paper made from the mulberry tree. During this workshop with Phyllis, you will learn to make felted bracelets, beads, earrings and necklaces. The pieces will be embelished with needle felting, beads and embroidery. New Star Art School supported by Multicultural Arts Victoria will exhibit student’s “EARTH --- Drawing on Nature” exhibition at Manningham gallery to celebrate the Cultural Diversity Week of Victoria 2010.
The children come from a variety of backgrounds to explore and discover the nature beauty and develop an awareness, observation and appreciation of our environment through creative expression.
This project is also supported by Manningham City Council, Victoria Multicultural commission. Sponsored by IronFish Group and Newway Art &Gifts Gallery.

This clay class offers adults with special needs the chance to work on a small hand built project, which will be fired and glazed. Students may come with a special project in mind, or Frida can demonstrate different ceramic techniques such as rolling coils, shaping and molding to be used in creating a masterpiece.
All materials are included in this course.

Making up stories is a workshop specifically designed to spark the creative senses for adults with various disabilities. Within simple drama games and activities, they can explore their range of movement and vocal ranges, whilst having an enormous amount of fun. This workshop is built around fun and creative characterisations. Tailored specifically to the needs of the individuals and their level of ability, Making up stories aims to enhance imagination and self-confidence.
