'Paper Cut' is the theme of the 2012 'Discarded' Recycled Art Competition being held as part of Whitehorse City Council's Sustainable Living Week Celebrations.
The 'Discarded' Recycled Art Competition aims to promote creativity through recycling. This year's focus is on the cycle of paper products and encourages people to rethink how they use and dispose of these items. People who live, work or play in the City of Whitehorse were invited to submit a 2D or 3D artwork using recycled paper products. Primary schools took part in the competition to create three dimensional paper trees. All artwork entered into the competition will be on display in the Box Hill Community Arts Centre Gallery from 27 March - 15 April 2012. Awards were be presented at the City of Whitehorse Sustainability awards night on 29 March.
