Concerts for the Boite and Surrey Music Cafe are held at Box Hill Community Arts Centre on Friday evenings from April to November.

Elle et La Contrebasse
Elle et La Contrebasse, meanders through French jazz, pop beats and Latin, inspired by singers such as Zaz, Pauline Croze and Yves Jamait .
Lead by the sultry Xaris Miller with double bass, Luke Richards, mandolin, Ross Richardson and accordion, Will Hoffmann.

Frances Madden and Band
Acclaimed by James Morrison, Mal Stanley, John McBeath and others in the jazz world, singer, piano player and song writer Frances Madden has been selling out Sydney’s best jazz clubs and venues. She’s been described as a mix of Diana Krall, Norah Jones and Edith Piaf but with her own unique voice and style. Frances is bringing a six piece band for this her first tour to Melbourne. Her show will include a mix of swing, ballads, blues, and bossa, both originals and timeless classics.

Friday 9 October - Tamandua 8pm
Tamandua play subtly melodic Brazilian Choro, encapsulating the sonic complexities of jazz and the engaging rhythms of tango and samba.
They bring a fresh approach, a fine musicality and a history of work with Doug de Vries and musicians in Brazil.
Friday 13 November - Celebrating Soteria Belou 7pm
Commemorating one of Greece’s most influential and celebrated icons, legendary Rebetika singer, Soteria Bellou, famous for her deep voice, emotion and pride, Con Kalamaras has drawn together an ensemble for the occasion: Stavrina Dimitriou, Achilles Yiangoulli, Dean Georgalas with Con Kalamaras present her legacy of song.
