Ann-Maree has a love/hate relationship with clay. In summer it dries too quickly and in winter it is cold on the hands and takes forever to dry. Things can go wrong at each and every stage of the process. Probably the worst thing for Ann-Maree is that when says she works with clay people imagine that it’s brown with leaves and gumnuts on it. On the other hand because clay is a slow process, and it has a mind of its own, it often has a better outcome than you imagined. That is what she enjoys the most, sitting down to make something and have it morph into something else. Going on a little journey and getting sidetracked constantly. Then, if you’re not happy, you can always squash it and start again!
