Spend the day learning and exploring traditional shibori techniques of folding and manipulating cloth to create a range of unique patterns on fabric. You will learn about the mysteries of Indigo dye and learn to set up and maintain your own indigo vat at home, including different eco-friendly ways to work. You will leave with several indigo dyed cotton samples of the techniques learnt and your own unique dyed length of cloth.
Blank tea towels and bags available for purchase on the day, or bring any second hand clothing/linen to dye and give new life to (white/natural fibres only). Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dye on. BYO lunch.
